UGC NET 2024: National Testing Agency NTA has released the re-examination schedule of UGC NET exam. UGC NET exam will be conducted in CBT mode in two shifts between 21 August to 4 September. For your information, let us tell you that the first shift will run from 9 to 12 pm while the second shift will run from 3 to 6 pm. Subject wise time table has been kept.
Apart from this, NTA also informed that the notification regarding the information of the examination centre city will be displayed on the official website of the agency ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in 10 days before the examination.
Let us tell you that on June 18, NTA had issued a press release stating that it had successfully conducted the UGC NET June examination for 9.08 lakh candidates. However, a day later, the Ministry of Education said that it had received information that the sanctity of the examination had been compromised and the examination was cancelled.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had also said that the question paper of the exam was leaked on the darknet. It is worth noting that till last time NTA used to conduct UGC NET exam for Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and PhD admission in CBT mode. However, the agency had announced earlier this year that the June exam would be conducted in pen and paper mode and in a single day.
For your information, let us tell you that UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for Junior Professor Fellowship and Assistant Professor in universities and other educational institutions across the country. From this time onwards, scoring in UGC NET is also necessary for entrance to PhD.
